Who are thy enemies?

• Uncertainty, obviously, and my Coping with uncertainty has been in my blog's menu for quite some time. Does economics help you fight it, or merely understand it?
• Mismatch could be the other. Does evolutionary psychology help you fight it, or merely understand it? And frankly, does understanding it actually help, if you're not ready to take it as normative, regarding how you should act?
